KOZIKOPOULOU Katerina M.D.

She was born and raised in the Kozani Region of Northern Greece.  She graduated from the third highschool of Kozani in 2003, and she obtained several distinctions in numerous student competitions. After successfully passing the national examination she was admitted in the Medical faculty of "Aristotle" University of Thessaloniki and she graduated in 2009. During her studies she obtained a scholarship from the "DIMITRIOS KARLOS" Center of Cultural and Ethical Promotion (2005) and she participated in several medical congresses.

 She successfully completed a BLS-AED (Basil Life Support/Acute External Defibrillation) course organized  by the "AHEPA" (American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association) University Hospital, and following the European Resuscitation Council Guidelines, in April 2005. 

In 2007, she followed First Aid Courses organized by the Greek Red Cross.

She obtains the Medical Practice Permit by November 2009 and started her training as in intern for three months in the "Agios Panteleimon" General Hospital of Samos Island. From June 2010 and for a year she served her rural service in Kokkari Medical Center for the Vourliotes Municipality of Samos Island.  

She continues her internship in Visceral Surgery of General Hospital of Grevena from November 2011 and for the ongoing year.

Her specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology takes place in the "Panagia - Voithia" University Hospital of Patras - Structure certified from the European Board & College of Obstetrics & Gynecology- from April 2014 until March 2019. During this period she gets trained in the following departments:

• Antenatal Diagnosis  - Obstetric & Gynecological Imaging - Ultrasounds.
• Gynecological Oncology.
• Gynecological Endocrinology.
• Infertility - Assisted Reproduction.
• Familly Planning.

During her training she secured nightshifts in a 14 intern base Rota, she completed an important number of gynecological operations and deliveries.

She obtains the title of "Specialist in Gynecology and Obstetrics" after successfully defending her knowledge on the domain in the exams that took place in April 2019. 

She speaks fluently: Greek, English, French and Spanish.

She maintains a Private Practice within "Eleftho" clinic, 49 G. Veritis Avenue, Isle of Chios, 82100.
